GIFTED AND TALENTED PROGRAM

Our Gifted and Talented Program is a feature of the school. We offer a discrete Gifted and Talented class in both Years 7 and 8. The program continues in Year 9 and 10 as streamed classes offered by individual faculties.

Year 6 students applying for enrolment in Year 7 at Crestwood have the opportunity to apply for this class. A test developed by the Educational Testing Centre helps us to choose those most suited from the large number of students who apply.

The teachers of 7T and 8T are considered to be best able to extend these above average students. The classes are surveyed at regular intervals to ensure the needs of the students are being met.

Crestwood prides itself on its academic excellence. An analysis of both Higher School Certificate and School Certificate results reveals that both boys and girls from Crestwood High School perform significantly above the state average in a diverse range of subjects.
