User policy for Homework Helper

Welcome to Homework Helper. To enjoy the benefits of the Homework Helper you must registered as a member. During your registration is it necessary for you to follow our naming policy.Please read the policy below before getting started.

Naming Policy

Teachers & staff

Enter your username as firstinitial.surname

For example: for Sample Teacher would register as S.Teacher

Please avoid other names, for example: sampleteacher, steacher, sample, teacher, samplo.

Students

During the registration process you must enter a username that will be unique to you. The naming policy requires that your username contains your first initial, followed by your surname, followed by the year in which you were in year 7. If you enrolled after year 7, please use the year that you would have been in year 7 had you enrolled at that time.

Eg. Tom Smith who is now in year 11 would register as tsmith01

Aneesh Smith who is now in year 9 would register as asmith03

Samara Smith who is now in year 7 would register as ssmith05

All registrations are manually approved by the system administrators and will usually happen within a few hours. When your application has been approved you will receive an email notification. If your registration does not follow these guidelines your registration will be rejected and you will have to reapply.

Security and behaviour

The Homework Helper is for your benefit. It offers a wonderful opportunity for all staff and students to become involved in a powerful online resource. It allows the interaction between students of all years, giving them access to new ideas and knowledge.

Built into the system are customised security and identification features. All users of the system are tracked and monitored automatically. Foul language and abusive comments are traced.
